Position Summary: / / Under the supervision of the Radiologist and supervisor, performs diagnostic and therapeutic angiographic procedures for patients ages adolescents through geriatric. Generates appropriate paperwork including requisitions, film jackets, charges and provides a complete history of patient. Responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and provide quality diagnostic results. Responsible for supply/inventory management.

Education:Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program. Current ARRT certification.
Licensure / Certification:Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program. Current certification by ARRT. With advanced certification in Interventional Radiology (IR). New hires or transfers from a different modality must achieve advanced certification within one year of that assignment. Must maintain current registry. Attends continuing education activities to maintain knowledge and skill level. Must maintain BLS.
Experience: Prefer 2 years recent hospital angiographic interventional experience. Skills commensurate with formal training required.
*Degree of Supervision Required: *General - close supervision until proficiency established, then daily supervision is limited. Must be reliable and self motivated to maintain schedule and proper operation of service. Follow Practice Guidelines and protocols. Exceptions referred to Director or Radiologist.
