The Field Engineer will support andcomplete the full cycle of field coordination issues with team members,subcontractors, vendors and suppliers.Responsibilities:Organization, flexibility, outstanding customer focus and strongcommunication are critical in performing duties which include, but are notlimited to:Provide Pre-Construction supportManage the submittal and RFIprocesses for specific definable features of work (DFW), utilizing PMAand other Project Connect programs completely to closureEvaluate projectdesign and engineering documents, managing their organization anddistribution to necessary partiesCompile, contact, and arrange for shortform subcontracts with local entities at the project siteAssist in draftingsubcontracts and purchase agreements Manage all aspects necessary forConstruction supportManage the quality assurance & quality control processas delineated in the Project Quality PlanCoordinate DFW prep meetings,initial inspections, follow-up inspections, punch list finalinspectionsManage mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordinationdrawings, shop and as-built drawingsCoordinate creation of lift and formworkdrawings Administer Closeout processesCompile turnover documentation forspecific DFW and transfer to customer per the project specific quality and TSOplanAssist Project Engineer and Project Manager with getting contractdocuments closed out with subcontractors and suppliersSupport the finalinspections and punch list process with the customer for specific DFWresponsibilities Other duties as assigned, including:Participate inproject safety audits and Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety ProgramMaintainschedule of timelines and follow through until completionProject Assignment:New hires may be placed in one of the following:Civil Operating GroupChicagoOfficeDenver OfficeFederal Contracting GroupHigh Voltage TransmissionGroupMilwaukee OfficeMinneapolis OfficeNational Projects GroupPhoenixOfficeSolar and Emerging Renewables GroupSeattle Office Wind Energy GroupAdditional Information:It is likely and expected for Mortenson team members to participate ontraveling project assignments during their employment with MortensonConstruction.
