White Lodging CLUSTER DIRECTOR OF REVENUE MGMT in Denver, Colorado

Responsible for maximizing revenue and profit associated with guest room sales. Accountable for pricing, positioning and rooms inventory management. Oversees the processes associated with demand, revenue, forecasting and opportunity analysis (to include seasonality, competitive positioning and displacement) and inventory management. Determines and is accountable for the hotel(s)’ sales strategy and pricing for both transient and group and then ensures both are effectively implemented. Identifies future opportunities and effectively communicates strategies to the business units.

Job responsibilities:

  • Development of Inventory Management Strategies and ongoing execution of inventory management controls in reservation system.

  • Revenue Management and Sales Strategy Team Leadership-determine sales strategies and communicate them to sales and property leadership.

  • Establish and maintain effective and rational pricing strategies for guest rooms.

  • Accountable for annual pricing process for transient rooms.

  • Ensures participation in approved electronic channels.

  • Continuous analysis of price positioning, seasonality and mix to identify revenue opportunity.

  • Ensuring straight line availability and proper restrictions are in place.

  • Conducts weekly/bi weekly Yield/Sales Strategy meetings.

  • Conducts quarterly and annual pricing meetings to maintain rational pricing strategies

  • Assist General Managers and Sales Leaders in the annual pricing meeting.

Technical requirements:

  • Excellent Knowledge of transient customer segments

  • Excellent understanding of Revenue Management Concepts, processes and systems

  • Understanding of property based inventory systems

  • Ability to identify and communicate revenue and profit opportunities

  • Understanding of brand strategies and culture

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal

  • Demonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm

  • Manages group or interpersonal conflict situations effectively

  • Uses problem solving methodology for decision making and follow-up

  • Adheres to White Lodging EEO and AA policies

  • Sales or Revenue Management background

  • Has worked in a multi brand capacity

  • Effectively implemented pricing strategies, defined sell strategies and managed inventory

  • Has developed and managed against a budget

  • Previous MARSHA or ONQ skills preferred.

Academic requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
