Leidos Ladar Intern in DAYTON, Ohio

Description:

Leidos is seeking a talented Ladar Intern, located in our Beavercreek, OH office.

This position is to support modeling and simulation, laboratory development and field testing of coherent laser radar system.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Independent research in coherent ladar systems.

  • Developing mathematical models of ladar.

  • Testing the models in a laboratory and in the field.

  • Presentations and written reports describing the research will be required.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The candidate must currently be enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Optical or Electrical Engineering.

  • The successful candidate will have laboratory and course work experience in optical systems and remote sensing.

-Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)

-Must have the ability of obtaining a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance, U.S. Citizenship required

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Matlab programming

  • Experience in an optics laboratory

  • Scientific programming

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
