Position Summary: The Trinity River Audubon Center seeks environmental educators to work in our Summer Adventure Camps program. The Seasonal Educator will work with children as they explore the centers three ecosystems. Each week of camp focuses on a different theme and all campers experience wildlife, make crafts, hike, play games, and hone their nature awareness skills. Educators may be working with children ages 4-17. The Seasonal Educator will be responsible for teaching outdoor programs and working effectively as part of a dynamic camp team. Camp runs for 8 weeks, Monday - Friday, but may include evening and/or weekend hours. This is a full-time, seasonal opportunity with an estimated 40 hour work week. Essential Functions: Deliver eight weeks of nature-based camp activities and curriculum. Provide a fun, educational experience for children during camp. Help maintain the safety and wellbeing of all camp participants. Qualifications and Experience: Demonstrated knowledge of natural history and processes. Bachelor s degree (completed or working towards) in any field of science or education, and/or experience working in a nature setting.
