The Accounting Manager develops, implements, and/or maintains one or more accounting systems (Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc.) and remains up-to-date on financial reporting requirements and regulations, including accuracy according to US GAAP. They balance books and prepare profit and loss, cash flow, income, and balance sheet statements, may prepare tax returns at all levels, assist in procedures that track and report revenue and may interpret reports for managers/stakeholders.

  • Develops and implements accounting practices and procedures. Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization and comply with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards. Assures that accounting records are prepared and maintained in accordance with the organization's accounting policies, chart of accounts, and related accounting principles and practices, and that subordinate ledgers reconcile with the general ledger.

  • Oversees the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements. Direct and monitor a variety of accounting activities to ensure the organization's financial resources are managed in accordance with accounting principles. These activities may include accounts payable and receivable; general ledger maintenance; financial analysis and reporting; budgeting, revenue, asset and/or returns accounting. Review financial reports and accounting statements to ensure their accuracy. Provide technical expertise and advice to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities. Manages maintenance of fixed asset records and related depreciation accounts. Collaborates with management to develop schedules, procedures, and systems to enable timely accumulation, adjustment, and reporting of financial data.

  • Select and manage ongoing relationships with external consultants and advisors (e.g., accounting firms) to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.

  • Manages one or more accounting functions comprised of accounting professionals and staffs. Responsible for all personnel actions of assigned function including training and development. May manage supervisors.

  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement: Bachelors Degree in related field required.

Required: 2 years in prior management role. 7 years related experience.
