An employee in this class is responsible for the specialized care of residents who are developmentally disabled. Work involves providing individualized care under professional direction, activities of daily living, including proper maintenance of living area, and guiding residents in individualized program plans and leisure activities. Work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of Assistant House Manager, House Manager, Shift Supervisor and Residential Services Director, who review results through daily observation of activities in progress, residents' responsiveness, inspection of living areas, reports and periodic meetings. Staff will be required to follow a designated shift routine as outlined by the Supervisor
A high school diploma or GED is required. Related experience is helpful. The employee must possess good verbal and written communication skills. A current and valid driver's license is required if on the drivers list.
