As a Best Buy Mobile General Manager, you'll provide leadership to the sales team in a mall based environment with operational accountability for leading customer engagement efforts in the mall store by driving business and establishing relationships with other store leaders. You will work with the District Manager on employee recruiting, staffing, sales coaching, and leading the team to excellence. You'll drive the stores performance by managing employee and customer experience as well as the store operations. You will work with the District Manager to support the performance and ensure sales expectations are met. As part of the Best Buy family, you'll be supported with an intensive orientation and ongoing training program to further understand corporate objectives, leadership development and key performance indicators.

Key accountabilities:

  • Leads a staff of approximately 5-20 employees and provides employee performance management

  • Identify, develop, and retain internal talent; recruit and build relationships with external talent

  • Build sales solutions that engage the customer and drive profitability

  • Ensure sales training meetings are held, goals are set and that team members are results oriented

  • Motivate and inspire the team to sell, grow, and have fun while being the best

Basic Qualifications:

  • 18 months of customer facing sales leadership experience –OR– 18 months of military leadership experience

  • One year of experience with operations, inventory or merchandising –OR- One year of military service equivalent

  • One year of experience managing and reviewing operational expenses and revenue

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Business Management or related fields

  • Experience selling consumer electronics

  • Experience selling mobile devices
