BTD TOP_Quality Manager in Clearwater, Minnesota
Description Join a thermoplastics industry leader in the key position of Quality Manager at T.O. Plastics, headquartered in Clearwater, MN. This position will primarily be located at our Clearwater facility and will also support our Otsego facility. The Quality Manager will responsible for developing and directing robust quality processes and procedures that meet both internal and external requirements. This position will develop and grow a capable team of quality professionals at both of our locations. Also, this person will support our World Class Manufacturing Operations and a culture of Continuous Improvement and Lean enterprise.
In addition, the Quality Manager will ensure that T.O. Plastics (TOP) meets or exceeds our customer expectations and maintains compliance with ISO and all other applicable quality standards. The Quality Manager will provide critical leadership in establishing advanced problem solving skills and insure TOP benchmarks positively against World Class peer companies. The Quality Manager may also have overall leadership responsibility for our Safety and EHS programs.
This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related technical field with: 6 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, 4 years’ experience with progressive leadership & management experience in a quality, manufacturing, production, or engineering role, and 2 years’ experience leading a sophisticated quality organization in a manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related technical field is required with 6 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, 4 years’ experience with progressive leadership & management experience in a quality, manufacturing, production, or engineering role, and 2 years’ experience leading a sophisticated quality organization in a manufacturing environment.

Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
Advanced Microsoft Office and other computer application skills
Experience working with QMS & ERP systems
Vision adequate for precise inspection tasks and assessment of detailed product attributes
Experience in two or more of the following roles: Quality Manager, Plant Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Lean Leader, or similar roles in a demanding manufacturing environment
Leadership experience in a company that has transitioned from a traditional manufacturing environment to an industry leader in Lean methodologies and Operational Excellence
Experience in plastics thermoforming, injection molding, or blow molding
Experience in Medical Device, Life Science, Horticulture or Power Sports markets
6 Sigma Green Belt or similar certification
Advanced Business or Technical degree
