Newegg Inc. Sr. Accountant - General Accounting in City of Industry-HQ, California
This position will be managing and monitoring credit card fees, chargebacks and banking fees and will be in-charge of handling new business initiatives of the company from the exploration stage to implementation.
Analyze and monitor credit card transaction fees and interchange rates and preparing reports and journal entries for month-end closing purposes.
Manage Finance vendor relationships and serve as liaison for banks, acquirers and other solution providers.
Analyze and manage chargebacks to include alerting management of any spikes to proactively prevent fraud attacks; ensuring that chargeback rates are within acceptable level; resolving chargeback dispute issues, and projecting reserves/allowances in accordance with GAAP/GAAS.
Prepare borrowing base certificates and other reports required for the company’s line of credit.
Partner with Treasury Management team in addressing all banking issues.
Partner with Accounts Receivable team in all credit card/payment processing issues.
Manage Finance contracts and work with Legal Department and business unit owners until contract is reviewed and approved.
Support Finance Director in managing projects on all business initiatives, system and process improvements to include research, coordination of system and process integration and implementation.
Perform other ad-hoc tasks and duties as assigned by management.
BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ Years of experience in Accounting or Finance
Experience with credit card and treasury is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-directed and effective working independently, yet equally comfortable contributing in a team environment.
Able to work in a matrixed organizational structure, developing strong relationships with all levels of management.
