Job Corps is an intensive residential academic and technical training program for at-risk youth administered by the U.S. Department of Labor. There are 125 Job Corps centers located throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Cincinnati Job Corps Overview

Cincinnati is contracted to provide training to 202 youth, ages 16-24, in the following areas:

  1. Automotive Technology

  2. Building & Facilities Maintenance

  3. Carpentry

  4. Certified Nursing Assistant

  5. Culinary Arts

  6. Office Administration

  7. Welding

Essential Functions

Position Summary : Reports to the manager of Safety and Security. Responsible for performing guard and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, fire, flood or similar disaster in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure the physical security of buildings and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks and emergency equipment; maintain log of findings and corrective action taken.

  • Perform parking and traffic control duties

  • Perform routine vehicle inspections

  • Assist in transporting ill or injured as required

  • Respond to fire alarms, take necessary steps to report fires The rate the of pay for the position is $12.50 per hour.

Education and Experience

High school diploma and one year experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
