The Audio Visual Technician coordinates conference, guest & business services for multipurpose conference rooms. Troubleshoots equipment and assists clients with conducting meetings in conference spaces.
The associate must possess excellent communication skills; tact in working with professional peers from other departments and all subordinates; initiative and judgment involved in assisting with clients during events in resolving problems and addressing personnel issues; the ability to evaluate problems and make recommendations to person(s) involved; the ability to think quickly and accurately; be versed in all aspects of conference planning. A successful candidate will be a team player; have excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects; and the ability to handle last-minute changes in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of events.Key Responsibilities:
Management of events for the Multipurpose Rooms, General Floor Conference Rooms and all other meeting spaces
Management and upkeep of all AV equipment in managed spaces
Assist Event Coordinator/Managers when necessary (pre-event planning, greeting guests, etc.)
Work with clients from the pre-conference planning process through post-conference, as necessary
Provide seamless management of events with high touch customer service
Handle issues as they arise through the proper administrative channels
Follow protocol during emergency situations
Work with all departments to ensure all aspects of each function are covered
Other duties as assigned by the Service Desk Supervisor
High School Diploma or GED
CTS Certified – Must be completed in the first year of employment
Must have experience with and knowledge of modern AV concepts and equipment, including excellent troubleshooting ability.
Experience with Laptops, Projectors, Microphones, and Remote Participation Technology (i.e.: AV Conferencing) is required.
Must have basic calculations and Excel knowledge.
