Facilities Management (FM) supports the University of Virginia's wide range of research, academic and patient care programs. With over 1,200 employees dedicated to excellence, Facilities Management is responsible for the day-to-day operation, repair and maintenance of U.Va.'s buildings, infrastructure and grounds as well as other University-owned and leased properties.
The Project Coordinator for Facilities Planning & Construction (FP&C;) - Academic Division supports Facilities Management goal by providing management of all design and engineering services, management of all construction services, and procurement for all construction contracts and design/engineering professional services contracts for the University community. The incumbent will work in close coordination with the Office of the University Building Official and the Office of the Architect for the University.
Incumbent is responsible for coordination of all design, procurement and construction activities associated with simple to moderately complex construction work. Construction projects include new construction, and the maintenance, rehabilitation, adaptive reuse and additions to existing facilities and landscapes. Job duties are performed under general direction from a Senior Project Manager or other designated supervisor.

- Ability to review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and specifications.
