USG Corporation Sales Representative (Distribution Channel) in Charlotte, North Carolina
We currently have a Tile & Flooring Distributor Sales Representative position available who will cover the North and South Carolina markets. The position will be located out of a home based office located within the territory. The Distributor Sales Representative is a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their customer service, project management and technical selling skills within a fast-paced sales environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and increasing sales of our Durock and Fiberock brand product portfolios. The successful candidate will have a focus on tile and flooring installation products in the designated market.
With a passion for customer service and the commitment to follow through, the Distributor Sales Representative is responsible for increasing Durock and Fiberock brand product sales through relationship development and management, product presentations and demonstrations as well as marketing activities. The incumbent will work within general guidelines and procedures, exercising independent judgment while being committed to safety, quality, reliability and customer service.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
S ales territory includes North and South Carolina. Will require 50%-60% travel.
Improves sales volume by building relationships and providing the required support to product distributors and end users.
Influences each customer group’s loyalty by delivering a high level of customer service, including the following: proactive customer contact, industry knowledge and networking, hands on demonstrations, product training, deep technical product knowledge, large project / job coordination, competitive information, job quotes and prompt resolution of customer complaints.
Develops strong relationships with other departments including Marketing, Manufacturing, Distribution, Customer Service and Accounting/Credit.
Executes pricing strategy
Utilizes Salesforce automation to effective meet the objectives of the position.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience 5 years sales experience, preferably in the building materials and/or construction industry.
Technical expertise and industry knowledge preferred.
Must be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills. Able to coordinate and manage multiple projects effectively.
Must demonstrate proven success at working independently with a sense of urgency, a high level of customer focus and attention to details that drive sales.
Must possess excellent leadership, communication (verbal and written), decision-making and people-handling skills and be an integral part of a diverse environment.
Must be a systematic, people- and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects his/her daily work.
Currently hold a valid driver’s license. Ability to lift 50-60 lbs.
