INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST
Location: UNC Medical Center
Scheduled Work Hours: (Days) 7:30AM-4PM Monday-Friday, Hours/Schedule may vary depending on department needs.
Job description / responsibilities for this position: Will perform all inventory control duties in the Supply Chain Services Department which includes cycle counting, processing kit and code cart production, stocking product, adjusting inventory, placing orders, customer service issues, keeping accurate file records.
Performs duties of an Inventory Control Specialist with some authority to step outside confines of established procedures. They are also considered
the subject matter authority in the Inventory Control area for the department/clinic.
Description of Job Responsibilities:
Assisting in maintaining accurate inventory through cycle counts and receiving verification. Investigating discrepancies and processing corrective actions.
Coordinating and completing special projects independently or in cooperation with other groups as assigned.
Determines inventory needed, places orders and monitors delivery.
Extracting and compiling data from written sources, individuals, and/or databases and providing interpretation.
Managing departmental ordering systems.
Preparing kit production plan and verification of product accuracy.
Assists in planning, adjustments and creation of unit PAR levels.

Requires high school diploma and five years of administrative experience, to include at least three years of inventory control experience.. General knowledge of supply chain preferred (when appropriate).
