TASC, an Engility Company, is seeking a technical lead for our
Ground Software Acquisition SETA supportposition.
This position provides management, leadership and oversight within a highly diversified team that support Ground Intelligence acquisitions providing cutting-edge capabilities to the intelligence community.
Position is to function as SETA support (technical consulting and advisory services) for a Ground System Program Office. Functions will include providing day-to-day collaboration with development contractors, other Government program office personnel and Government Customers on systems engineering and acquisition functions in the domain area of SIGINT collection and mission management.
Key functions include:
Interface directly with development Prime Contractors in the role of oversight, monitoring of software development and integration activities and ensuring alignment with Government requirements and objectives
Retain cognizance of wide variety of SIGINT mission projects including, technical baseline, project schedules, dependencies, risks and cost
Advise Senior and Mid-Level managers on architectural decisions to include investment strategies, acquisition portfolio priorities, risk assessment of project execution
Conduct Strategic planning for both mission architecture needs (technical trade studies, definition of future architecture planning, software service recommendations etc.) and programmatic (Program Budget Guidance, cost estimation, generation of acquisition schedules)
Accomplish performance assessment and provide estimates of cost, schedule and risk impacts to existing Ground architecture implementations
Provide technical and cost assessment of vendor proposals, review technical reports, design artifacts and program plans
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with ability to successfully obtain a polygraph
BS in Engineering, Math, Computer Science or related technical discipline
Experience in acquisition of IC / DoD systems; knowledge of acquisition roles, processes and/or experience in IC / DoD Project or Program Management
Domain knowledge in Ground Software, Space Development Programs or Mission Operations programs
Self-starter with ability to execute job based on limited guidance/information
Ability to distill complex problems into digestible structures/formats
Strong problem solving skills - Creative thinking; formulation of ideas/strategies to react to a variety of existing and emerging acquisition complexities and Customer Priorities
Flexibility and Time Management - Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment with constantly shifting priorities and needs
Effective Communicator - convey information to multiple audiences across all levels of Customer and Corporate management
Masters degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
Working knowledge of the operations of SIGINT and associated scheduling, tasking and/or mission management functions
Demonstrable understanding of planning, scheduling and mission management technologies
Experience working within or closely with Acquisition Offices; SETA and/or SE&I experience
