CACI International Linux Administrator in Chantilly, Virginia
CACI is looking for mid to senior level Linux Systems Administrators to provide hands-on support and subject matter expertise in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Responsibilities will involve Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and system engineering support to two government agency’s financial management and ERP systems. The individual will provide a full range of support services required to effectively operate, maintain, and perform software and system fixes for the applications, operating systems, and other elements under the purview of the organization. Duties will include, but are not limited to: troubleshooting; integrating; installation; configuring; upgrading; operating and maintaining; documenting; and system administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Systems Administration of servers which includes installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications/databases running on them in virtual environments
Working collaboratively with team members to ensure consistent and efficient approaches for development and production infrastructure.
Building AWS-based services supporting production IaaS and SaaS platforms.
Building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
Streamlining and automating operations and process.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues in test, development, and production environments.
Contribute in enterprise IT architectural and engineering efforts and recommend new strategies during IT program and organizational reviews.
US Citizen with current TS clearance. SCI preferred, but must be obtainable.
Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph ideal, but must be obtainable.
Background in Linux scripting Bash, Bourne, and Awk.
Familiarity with interpreted languages Python, Perl, Ruby, and PHP.
Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments such as AWS, vSphere, Virtual Box, Vagrant and XEN Hypervisor.
Solid comprehension on configuration management tools, such as Puppet, Chef and Ansible.
Familiarity with AWS technologies such as EC2, EBS, S3, ELB, VPCs, EFS, RDS, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation.
Proficient with network services such as Linux IPVS, DNS, SAMBA, DHCP, FTP, Sendmail, Postfix, NFS, and LDAP
Working knowledge of Linux web services such as Apache, WebLogic, Tomcat, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite.
Background in Linux security tools such as IPTables, AFICK, AIDE, PKI, OpenSSH, and Nessus.
Experience with Systems Security (DISA STIGs, DCID 6/3, ICD503)
DoD8570 and/or OS certification (e.g., CASP, CISSP, AWS, RHEL, Linux+)
Education and Experience:
Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.
