ID 2017-1346 # of Openings 1 Job Locations US-MN-Champlin Posted Date 2/17/2017 Category Design Overview: Egan is looking for a CAD Technician in its Curtainwall/Metal Panel Building Group (InterClad) located in Champlin, MN. This individual would develop detailed CAD drawings of systems and parts to be used in purchasing and installations of curtainwall/ metal panel systems. Responsibilities: Drafting all system-specific details of curtainwall/ metal panel systems, including all submittal drawings, shop drawings and parts drawings using CAD. Assisting in analyzing curtainwall/ metal panel drawings specifications and related data to determine design requirements. Qualifications: Two year degree or vo-tech certificate and/or two - four years related to drafting with an AutoCAD focus (Design, CAD, etc.) Ability to read and interpret specs and blue prints; Proficient in the use of CAD. Knowledge of curtainwall/ metal panel basics and design highly preferred. In lieu of Curtainwall experience, CAD experience in metal panel industry is acceptable Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications. Strong organizational skills to deal with competing customer needs. Ability to communicate with other employees in English sufficiently to understand and be easily understood. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide sufficiently to perform standard mathematical calculations. Ability to foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and reacts to these appropriately.
