The Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) performs a range of tasks through individual and group encounters to assist consumers in regaining control over their own lives and over their own recovery process. The CPS will role model competency in recovery and ongoing coping skills, serve and as a consumer advocate. Services are provided in accordance with all existing policies, procedures and regulations and in accord with the mission and value of the company. Meet one to one in various locations including the person's home, community, job, etc. Provide support in developing goals, teaching skills to obtain the goals and providing general support through recovery process.

Must have received Peer Specialist Certification upon graduation of the Certified Peer Specialist Training. In addition, must have a high school diploma or general equivalence degree (GED). Valid Drivers license. Experience, including Forensic experience, preferred.
