We are currently seeking an experienced:


Job Description:

  • Coordinates all aspects of transporting residents of the facility.

  • Assures proper maintenance of all facility vehicles.

  • Makes all appointments for patients and maintains a calendar of appointments.

  • Assists in maintaining a good working relationship with the community, hospital, and other health care facilities and agencies and assuring coordination of services for our patients.

  • Takes specimens and other items to the hospital or medical clinic as requested.

  • Assists with completion of Nurse’s work schedule and assures adequate coverage under direction of DON.

  • Stocks Lab Office and each nurse’s station with supplies, and keeps organized and neat.

  • Monitors oxygen tanks and oxygen concentrators in conjunction with Central Supply and orders oxygen as needed.

  • Maintains cleanliness of suction machines, vaporizers, and other nursing equipment.

  • Restocks filing cabinet with appropriate nursing forms.

  • Helps with Restorative Nursing as needed.

  • Assists with activities and filing as needed and as time permits.

  • Runs errands for Facility as needed to pharmacy, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid NC Driver’s License to operate a motor vehicle with an appropriate driving record.

  • High school diploma and 21 years of age or older.

  • Must currently be registered with DFS as a Nursing Assistant or as an Emergency Medical Technician in North Carolina.

  • Must maintain a current CPR certification via the American Heart Association.

  • Possess good moral character, and have a genuine concern for the elderly and disabled.

  • Clerical/computer knowledge.

  • Willingness to perform routine repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and follow-up on work assignments.

  • Ability to make independent decisions, work well under pressure, and cooperate with other employees.

  • Ability to be flexible in performing different tasks.
