Job Description

  • Administrative Assistant III – Critical Care (Mercy Hospital of Buffalo):Provides Administrative support including daily tasks, reminders, scheduling. Responsible for day-to-day operations, planning, coordination and implementation for direct supervisor. Responsible for multi-tasking, handling changing priorities at a high level of important and confidential CHS matters and issues. Coordinates the needs of an executive office. Confidential interaction with professionals inside and outside the organization. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for clerical and administrative support to the critical care employed providers (physicians and APPs) through maintaining the schedules, performance improvement activities, credentialing, tracking of billing information as well as day-to-day operation of the office.REPORTS TO: Medical Director Critical Care, MHB and Administrative and Clinical Director for Critical Care APPs, MHBSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:NoneSKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM):Education

• A.A.S. Degree requiredExperience

• Minimum Three (3) years Administrative Assistant experience in a health care office.Knowledge, Skill and Ability

• Typing – 65 wpm / Keyboarding Ability

• Medical Terminology

• Excellent Telephone skills

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to organize/prioritize multiple responsibilities

• Knowledge and proficiency of specific computers and/or software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access

• Ability to work with little or no supervision

• Knowledge of standard office equipment (fax, copier, printer, laptop, projector)

• Maintain proficiency in computer applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)WORKING CONDITIONS:
