Valley Regionalis currently looking for aNurse Manager (RN) – Women’s Services.

_Responsibilities:_ * Coordinates clinical activities for Women’s Services to provide optimum quality patient care outcomes to include employee rounding, patient rounding, and physician rounding. * Contributes to the development of Labor and Delivery/Women’s Center standards, policies, and procedures and assists with Quality Improvement activities. * Assumes management responsibilities as delegated by the Director of Women’s Services which include but are not limited to payroll, collection of statistics, schedules, day-to-day staffing and performance evaluations of direct reports, counseling of direct reports, follow up on incident reports.
* Identifies areas of improvement for Labor and Delivery/Women’s Center processes. * Identifies staff development needs and provides plan to improve deficiencies or advance the level of practice, either through further orientation and/or education and is a mentor to those he/she supervises. * Demonstrates a commitment to customer satisfaction and displays an attitude that values customers, both internal and external. * Possesses clinical expertise in nursing as either a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse or a Postpartum Registered Nurse or both, and willingly provides direct patient care when required. * Promotes a positive image of Women’s Services/ Valley Regional Medical Center in all interactions and presents a positive role model to those he/she supervises. * Completes all administrative duties in a timely manner. * Pursues educational opportunities which enhance knowledge and skills in regards to Leadership, Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum Care, and GYN Surgical Care, as well as maintains certifications and validations.

_Qualifications:_ * Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing * Current TX RN licensure * American Heart Association (Health Care Provider) BCLS required * ACLS required for L&D * NRP required for women’s services * AWHONN fetal monitoring course required for L&D nurses without experience * AWHONN fetal monitoring course required for L&D nurses with experience * Previous clinical experience in specialty area. * STABLE required within 1 year of hire for nursery nurses
