Location: Broomfield, CO USADuration: Full-time RegularDepartment: Construction & Engineering# of Openings: 1Req #: 1027DescriptionAs Executive Project Director of Large Projects, you will provideleadership, executive presence, strategic direction and oversight forlarge scale projects, ranging in value from $250M to over $1B,throughout their lifecycle. You will collaborate with partners, bothinternal and external, to execute all project activities on time and onbudget, and through direct interaction with team members and by building andmentoring talent, you will achieve and/or surpass the goals and objectivesset out by the executive leadership team.Responsibilities Develop strategic plans to advance the company's mission and objectivesand to achieve revenue, profitability, skill development andorganizational growth. Working closely with the business development executives during pursuitstage, the Project Director will assume executive sponsorship for projectsduring start-up and closeout. Provide executive technical, project and people management to the teamsresponsible for the design and execution of large heavy civil constructionprojects. These large project will include, but will not be limited to P3,Design-Build and Bid-Build. Lead and implement strategies required to setup jobs in a way thatsafeguards the success of the project throughout the project lifecycle, upto and including project closeout. Review and oversee all technical, financial and legal activities relatedto large projects, including executive responsibility for achieving allfinancial and operational expectations. Review and oversee schedule and procedures for completing keymilestones, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resourcesthroughout the lifecycle of large projects. Participate in and/or lead as required, project debriefing sessionsand implement the appropriate process improvements. Maintain and further develop business relationships with key internal andexternal stakeholders. Develop, coach and mentor others across the project and the organization. Promote communications across all functional areas, includingengineering and project management. Ensure that subcontract, JV, owner, consortium and public relationdealings are maintained through the integration and alignment of the companyva Lead, participate and/or serve as the executive sponsor for allpresentations to internal and external stakeholders, including electedofficials and the general public. Participate in various construction industry liaison committees andprofessional associations to promote the best interest of Flatiron. Act as a key leader within the marketplace with partners, technicalvendors, subcontractors, business leaders and communication associations. Serve as the executive sponsor to support the company's values, safetyculture and other policies and procedures. Perform additional assignments as directed by members of the executive team. In a supervisory capacity, responsibilities will include but will not belimited to: human capital management (interviewing, hiring, training& development, teambuilding, employee retention & engagement,mentorship & coaching, performance management), department budgetingand resource planning (workforce and equipment).Qualifications Bachelor degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or ConstructionManagement or similar from an accredited institution. Master degree ispreferre Minimum 15 years of direct experience in a technical role within the heavycivil construction industry, coupled with a minimum 10 years in a ProjectManagement capacity. Prior experience providing executive technical oversight and leadershipfor heavy civil construction projects ranging from $250M to $1B.Experience in Design-Build and P3 is strongly preferred.
