The Corporate& Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) groupprovides financial advice to support the CIB’s business strategy and helps toensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the four major areas of responsibilityare: Business-aligned BMs (Business Managers), the CIB Controller, SupportStaff CFO, and Planning and Analysis.
The CIB Technology Finance & BusinessManagement (F&BM) team provides oversight and financial support for JPMC’sCorporate & Investment Banking Technology Group (a $3B organization thatincludes around 1B in allocations-in from Enterprise Technology, CorporateStaff, Inter/ Intra allocations, and Corporate Real Estate).
Key to success within the role is to workwith both internal service providers and internal CIB F&BM consumers to providetransparency around allocations cost base and partnering with numerousstakeholders to provide direction and actions which will drive efficiency. The role will support the reporting needs ofCIB Senior Management, CIB Technology, Finance & Business Management, Corporate,and other entities. The candidate mustbe able to organize, and deliver monthly and ad hoc requests and quickly defineviews that prompt decisions by Senior Management. The role demands superior analytical skills, relationshipmanagement, technical abilities and flexibility.
The candidate should have extensiveexperience in providing monthly financial analysis that highlights key driversand dependencies impacting results and the overall health of theorganization. The candidate should alsohave experience collaborating with high-performing teams, a good workingknowledge of financial systems and processes, as well as experience withmanaging extremely large data-sets and using aggregation tools to consolidatedata into meaningful reporting views.
Responsibilities will include the oversightof monthly allocations, analysis of all centrally produced financial managementreporting (actual and plan) for CIB technology, assisting in annual allocationbudgeting and support delivery of management information, and oversight andassistance in ad hoc projects.
- Buildsand maintains relationships with both internal CIB finance community and key ServiceProviders across IT lines of business as well as enterprise functions (humanresources, finance, legal, vendor management, etc.)
Executesfinancial & human capital analysis, understands, develops and reports keybusiness metrics, to identify potential opportunities and suggest solutions
Performanalysis on cost structure, allocations & transparency to identifyopportunities and levers
Contributesto ongoing analysis in baselines costs by identifying opportunities andassisting with improvement programs
Responsiblefor gathering relevant data, then analyzing and reporting the data in ameaningful manner to support management decisions around business processes andefficencies
Analyzesbudgets and costs for major allocations and presents analysis to upper levelmanagement and internal clients
Management of Monthly Financial Activities (Allocations& Forecasting)
Managementof IT finances including Direct / Indirect chargeback & allocation methodologies
Understandingof inventory management
Managementof monthly financial recoveries process for multiple expenses includingindirects, depreciation and other Corporate overhead allocations
Managementof monthly financial forecast process
Managementof monthly financial variance commentary
Senior Management Reporting
Tracking& reporting on key productivity & efficiency programs: CIB TechnologyGTI efficiency program, server decommission program, application decommissionreporting which are closely reviewed by senior management
Creationof PowerPoint presentations and dashboards for senior management, needs to beaccurate, of very high quality and often requiring quick turn-around.
Reconciliationand analysis of monthly financials from multiple reporting tools
Analysisand presentation of financial variances and trends, consolidation and reportingof explains
Abilityto summarize complex data sets and provide key messages specificallyhighlighting risks as soon as they become apparent
Co-ordinationof Allocations budgeting and planning process across CIB Technology
Trackingand driving of budget against pre-set targets
Production and presentation of planningreporting to senior management
5 years experience in financial management / allocations environment
Advanced systems skills required including knowledge of Excel, Essbase and PowerPoint
Strong relationship management skills to interface with various stakeholders
Detail oriented individual capable of completing reporting and analytics accurately, on a timely basis, and in a presentable manner
Capacity and desire to work both at a strategic and detailed analysis level
Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary
Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
Individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team situation
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi task
Self motivated individual to go beyond immediate responsibilities
