Job Summary –This position is responsible for supporting the spend analytics programs for the GPO. As part of the Business Solutions team, this individual understands business intelligence methodologies and available business intelligence applications. The lead is expected to work closely with the HealthTrust Business Units to understand their data information needs and will translate business requirements to enhance and maintain our spend analytics tools. The Lead will continue to evaluate additional program services which will enhance the spend analytics service offerings provided to all HealthTrust departments. The Lead Analyst will interact with various levels of personnel within the organization – Strategic Sourcing executives, AVPs, VPs, CFO, CEO, Account Directors/Managers, Contract Directors/Managers, Portfolio Managers, Financial Analysts, Clinical Resource Directors, and the HealthTrust IT Exec team and IT Development teams.
Key Responsibilities: * Work directly with HealthTrust functional teams and external analytics users. Lead efforts to gather requirements, identify dependencies, design prototype, develop product roadmap and deliver end product to inSight Analytics users. * Gains and maintains extensive understanding and knowledge of available HealthTrust spend analytics applications, and make recommendations for changes, additions, etc. * Develop, support and manage delivery of Compliance monitoring reports for key HealthTrust members. * Assist with training and oversight of other analysts’ projects. Duties (included but not limited to) -Primary responsibility for inSight analytics product development activities, but not limited to: * Oversee product development activities from gathering requirements to product delivery (end-to-end). * Manage design and delivery of Compliance Monitoring reports for key HealthTrust members. * Identify opportunities to integrate data from various sources to design, enhance and implement new reports and dashboards. Various sources include: Member Spend, Vendor Purchasing, Various Reference Data tables, and Financial Accounting data. * Communicate status of Analytics Development projects on a weekly basis. * Determine member needs outside of current analytics offerings to ensure we provide value to our membership. * Continually monitor data quality to identify issues with data integrity. * Performs other duties as requested by the Sr. Manager, Customer Solutions.
TRAVEL -Travel required 5 – 10% of time
EDUCATION -Bachelor’s degree Required; Business, Accounting, Statistics, Technology or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE: * 3-5 years’ work experience as a data, business, or financial analyst * Healthcare Experience a plus * Exposure and familiarity with multiple technology platforms a plus
