Job Summary

Provide administrative and clinical leadership to the HCA TriStar Division radiation oncology departments in accordance with the highest standards of practice and as required by regulatory and accrediting agencies. Evaluation and coordination of medical physics and dosimetry strategic priorities across the Health System including but not limited to: program accreditation, standardization, and quality assurance. This includes hiring, training, educating, evaluating, and staffing-in, among other duties. The Chief Medical Physicist will work with the Regional Vice President of Cancer Services on special projects as assigned. They must have the ability to utilize components of the treatment-planning computer including but not limited to the use of keyboards, digitizers, trackball and mouse controls. Must have sufficient visual acuity to distinguish structures and isodose displays on computer monitor. Additionally, must be able to align treatment field and monitor patient during radiation therapy treatment; have adequate hearing and speaking capabilities to effectively communicate with patients and staff; have adeqate mobility to assist patients on and off treatment couch and document treatment. EDUCATION * M.S. Medical Physics Required EXPERIENCE * Minimum of 7 years in radiation physics, including 3 years management experience. CERTIFICATE/LICENSE * Appropriate state licensure for TN.
