The role is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting information and network infrastructure technology while preserving company resources and maintaining high standards of professionalism, ethics and customer service. Provides high-level technical support and leadership for securing the company network and data and makes recommendations for advancements in network security technologies and practices. 1. Provides technical leadership in the design, implementation and administration of networking technologies including switches, routers, VLANs, VPN s, LAN/WAN connections and external connections such as Internet, Disaster Recovery site, & remote offices. 2. Preserves the safety & integrity of all network systems and data while minimizing downtime for critical systems, including maintaining highly available & redundant network configurations. 3. Creates & maintains documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes & service records. 4. Maintains and supports VoIP networking infrastructure including periodic updates to routers, switches & related devices. 5. Assists in developing responses to internal & external audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments as they pertain to network hardware & infrastructure. 6. Security Committee member & attends the monthly Security Committee meetings providing updates to discussion topics and action items identified during these meetings. 7. Maximizes the performance of network & communication systems by monitoring performance, optimizing usage, and tuning hardware and software parameters. 8. Maintains availability & extends longevity of information and communication systems by administering equipment maintenance activities. 9. Follows company best practices & departmental and team customer service for problem resolution and tracking. Communicates status to customers in a timely manner. 10.
