Create statistical forecasts from sales promotions marketing projections and historical data to direct the production and distribution of anticipated demand. The forecasts drive the manufacturing co-packing and supply chain and distribution process of products to the various locations. This position will manage the development and implementation of inventory movement plans and schedules as necessary.
Responsible to develop and manage the deployment schedules to ensure supply of product can achieve target fill rates with optimal inventory levels and minimal costs
Responsible for the development and management of the Demand Planning process for new product launches product reformulations and discontinued product. This includes: Inventory pre-builds account or geographic rollout planning cannibalization of product line and competition impact on sales forecasts and planning
Develops maintains and communicates forecast accuracy report to all management levels. Responsible for ensuring inventory targets are maintained in order to ensure proper fill rate adherence
Manages finished goods inventory across manufacturing facilities distribution centers and mixing centers
Develops deployment plans and system settings for new item introductions including communication and all necessary coordination required for success
Partners with other departments to limit shortages against customer demand
Reviews historical sales trends and marketing sales and financial projections to provide accurate product forecasts including forecasts for product discontinuances.
Recommends product discontinuation to Sales and Marketing on slow moving items
Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission values code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Years of Related Experience: 5-7 years related experience
Ability to work with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference; ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical solutions; must be proficient in JDA SAP Microsoft Excel Word & PowerPoint.
Solid problem solving and analytical skills.
The ability to effectively communicate information to a wide variety of audiences.
The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
