ABB Inc Territory Sales Manager - Robotics in Bellevue, Washington

ABB, Inc. is seeking a Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to join our Discrete Automation and Motion Robotics (DMRO) team while based in the around the Seattle, WA market. The Territory Sales position territory is (WA, OR, ID, MT, WY). Tasks: Discrete Automation and Motion Robotics (DMRO) is the first major global industrial robotics manufacturer to produce robots in the United States. The TSM is responsible for Territory sales and business development responsibility for the Robotics team's General Industry business and ABB market share. The overall responsibility is to generate and follow up on robot and robot systems leads and develop ABB's business with end customers and System Integrators for robotic products, systems, and services. ABB is the leading supplier of industrial robots, modular manufacturing systems and service and has installed more than 250,000 robots worldwide. Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: * Sell $2.5M in product sales during next 12 months (50 robots). * Develop and implement plan to penetrate target list of end customers in the territory. * Identify, qualify, acquire, and develop 2-3 capable and successful channel partners in the territory. * Submit complete and accurate proposal and forecast information. * Utilize value base selling techniques with customers and demonstrate ROI sales approach to key customers. * Readiness to do what it takes to develop a customer base, including cold calls if necessary. * Build relationships with Integrators, partners, colleagues and customers. * Operate with integrity, transparency and openness. Requirements: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or GED and 9 years of sales or Account Management experience; OR * Associate's Degree and 7 years of sales or Account Management experience; OR * Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of sales or Account Management experience. *A Master's Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience. *A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field. * 5+ years of experience selling robot automation equipment for a variety of applications. * Previous robotics sales experience. * Previous automation or capital equipment sales experience. * Ability to travel 70% (this position requires regular travel for business). * Experience working with a variety of levels of customer personnel from Management to Labor. * Ability to professionally and technically represent ABB in front of customers. * Proven ability to develop and maintain large and small customer accounts. * Proven experience in a matrix sales organization and ability to work autonomous. * PC proficiency to include MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Experience working in a results Driven role. * Excellent communication skills (both written and speaking and listening to the customer).
