JOB SUMMARY: Greets and directs patients and visitors effectively and courteously. Monitors appearance of Waiting Room and notifies Supervisor of emergencies in the waiting area. Schedules appointments and prepares medical records and billing information prior to the patient being seen by the physician. Follows up on insurance denials and provides various support activities for the front office.
Education & Training: High School Diploma or GED. Advanced education preferred.
Work Orientation & Experience: One year of experience in a customer service environment or in health care/physician practice as a medical office assistant. Successful completion of orientation. May require up to one week of orientation with a mentor.
