Robert Half Finance & Accounting Full Charge Bookkeeper in Beaverton, Oregon

We are seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper/Office Manager for our Beaverton location who is extremely detailed and organized. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and prior experience working in a small to medium size construction office. Accounting experience is required, construction accounting is preferred. This position has minimal supervision and the ideal candidate will have the ability to perform independently and have the ability to take charge of all aspects of the office and accounting functions. Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Direct and manage office staff in daily duties

  • Assist General Manager with implementing and adhering to policies

  • Accounting duties to include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll

  • Preparation of journal entries performs account analyses, account reconciliations, Review of AR, AP output.

  • Closing month-end reviews and analyzes account balances

  • Employee new hires, benefit management, compliance adherence

  • Assist the CFO in other duties as assigned

  • Work closely with GM to ensure jobs are accurately setup and accounted for. Jobs are tracked according to budget and addressed with GM if issues arise

  • Ability to wear multiple hats and to pitch in anywhere needed and develop positions, polices and procedures as the business grows. Skills / Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience

  • Prior management of office or team a plus

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Organized and great attention to details - A must

  • Motivated and maintains a positive attitude

  • Computer proficient and proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

  • Aptitude to learning computer systems quickly and efficiently
