This health care campus includes both a hospital and medical office building servingCleveland’s eastern and southeastern suburban populations. Primary and secondary care services will include general medical and surgical care, minimally invasive surgery, cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, pediatric outpatient surgery, state-of-the-art diagnostics and emergency care for adults and children, with tertiary care support from UHClevelandMedicalCenter.
The first phase of the UHAhujaMedicalCenteris a 144-bed hospital and a 60,000-square-foot medical office building. As patient volume increases, second and third phases may be added, with the hospital ultimately growing to 600 beds.
The hospital complex, designed with input from physicians, nurses, patients, employees and community leaders, ensures a patient-, family and staff-friendly healing environment for the delivery of personalized, efficient services. The structure will feature eco-friendly materials and processes that minimize energy costs and impact on the environment. As part of the environmentally sensitive design, grounds surrounding the UHAhujaMedicalCenterwill feature bioswales to filter, collect and redistribute water to the site.
Provides direct patient care and technical procedures to patients under the direction of the RN. Assists patients with ADL’s including ambulating, transferring, bathing, feeding, grooming, turning and positioning, and oral care. Performs technical procedures. Performs clerical tasks in support of departmental communication and operations. Provides a clean, pleasant and organized environment. Facilitates processing, scheduling, and retrieval of patient orders/tests
Must be able to communicate effectively with people from varied socioeconomic backgrounds; able to organize changing work assignments. Medical terminology, Data entry abilities, Experience in an acute care setting preferred, Wheelchair, EKG equipment, Patient assistive devices, Patient care equipment specific to assigned population.
Completion of a Medical Assistant Program OR State Tested Nursing Assistant program OR one year of satisfactory performance in a PCA role or equivalent
High School diploma or equivalent
