Title: Advanced Structural Simulation Engineer
Location: United States-Indiana-Batesville
Responsible for working with global teams and creating an environment where design concepts are proven through simulation analysis and through test lab models.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledge of hand calculations for design analysis.
Perform Linear and non-linear static on full systems and sub assembly.
Perform explicit analysis on full systems and sub assembly
Understanding of structural dynamics.
Perform Kinematic Analysis.
Previous experience using FEA software tools.
Coordinate with Test Engineering Team to develop and execute test plans for simulation correlation and identify locations for instrumentation on products.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with high performance skills and ability to work with global Engineering Teams.
Facilitate Design engineers in evaluating new and alternate designs through mechanical simulation.
Working knowledge of 3D cad.
Training and mentoring R&D mechanical/design engineers on FEA tools, simulation methods and standards.
Develop analysis reports and summary findings and report to development teams.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in either Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Min 3 years of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) pre and post processing of small to medium models.
Experience with sub-system and system level digital modeling.
Experience with non-linear and linear analysis.
Experience with explicit modeling.
MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Working knowledge of MSC and ANSYS products.
Previous experience in the medical device industry
