Senior Product Manager in Bangalore, India

The Amazon India Operations team located in Bangalore is looking for a leader to define, organize and lead high-performing teams across Amazon in delivering projects for our supply chain in India. Job functions:

The ideal candidate will have hands-on product management skills, leading high impact cross-functional projects from definition to launch.

As a Manager-Product management on the team:

· Product and Program Management:

Ø Work with multiple operations and internal software development teams to design, build, and maintain processes and features to help drive supply chain expansion in India.

Ø Own and manage the supply chain feature roadmap for adoption with the software development teams using Agile Software Development to deliver customer valued features monthly.

Ø Clarify and drive short-term project priorities and commitments, as well as establish and maintain clear chains of project management and accountability.

Ø Interact with Project Sponsors, Technical Program Managers and multiple Development Teams to define and deliver complex features.

· Technology Management:

Ø Work with large software development teams to provide monthly product feature backlog as part of Agile Software Development.

Ø Ability to develop a detailed understanding of Amazon’s e-commerce products and the underpinning services oriented architecture. Define functional requirements for new features.

Ø Provide documentation on platform functionality, service behavior, and product roadmaps. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Ø Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.

  • A MBA

  • 6+ years of product management experience in a fast paced dynamic environment;

  • BRD writing, product roadmap building, feature prioritization

  • Ability to roll up sleeves and operate as an individual contributor to get the job done; at the same time be able to influence a team toward an objective

  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and key partners for the program

  • Strong judgment, especially relevant in balancing long term strategic investments with near term business goals.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, business owners, and senior business leaders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline

  • Technology background, especially in a service-oriented environment with a deep understanding of software development and e-commerce products.

  • Track record in Supply Chain Products or ERP/CRM kind of enterprise products is a plus

  • Proven track record of leading large cross-functional software projects.

  • Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
