Ranked as one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For”, Kimley-Horn & Associates, a multi-discipline design consulting, is searching for a landscape architect intern for our Baltimore, MD office. This position will support our growing Landscape

Architecture and Land Planning practices by providing site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical production. Project experiences will be diverse, as we provide services to both the public and private sectors. Projects include multifamily,

mixed-use, streetscape throughout the MD, DC, VA, DE, and PA market/working for a wide variety of great clients.

Position Requirements

  • In the process of receiving a BS or MS in Landscape Architecture

  • Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Microsoft (Word and Excel) skills

  • Working knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/Arcview, and PowerPoint)

  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Positive attitude, team oriented, and a strong work ethic

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Self-motivated; sense of urgency to produce high quality work Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview

Min. Experience Current Student

Min. Education Level Bachelor's Degree

Required Major Landscape Architecture

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working for a civil engineering design firm

  • Involvement in professional organizations

  • Interns graduating December 2018-May 2019 preferred

  • Available for a summer internship or a spring-summer co-op
