Our Opportunity:

Mainframe Systems Programmer with specific skills in SAS, MICS and Systems Performance.

What you’ll do:

  • MICS administration – Install, maintain, customization/modernization, document internal process & MICS-related batch flow

  • Component reporting – batch, CICS, DB2, etc

  • Workload reporting – z/OS, DASD/tape (MICS VCA), account chargeback (homegrown or MICS

  • zOS system performance – monitoring and troubleshooting

  • ONCALL – MICS & reporting jobs, zOS system performance

  • HW, key SW upgrades and application test support – monitor and report results

  • Position would include being the “application liaison”

What you have:

  • Extensive SAS expertise and programming skills

  • Solid experience with SMF data analysis

  • Solid analytical skills

  • Solid report creation expertise – EXCEL, SQL, Tableau

  • Familiarity with MXG

  • Familiarity with application performance analysis tools

  • Solid DB2, CICS, MQ or MF storage (DASD, tape) expertise

  • Scheduling product and/or automation expertise to manage/standardize reporting workload

  • zVM system performance expertise

  • Ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment and handle last-minute /urgent requests

  • Solid presentation skills

  • Solid time-management and multi-tasking skills

  • Solid communication skills – written & verbal including interaction with upper/executive management
