The Global Product Development-IT team develops and deploys the tools used by engineers around the globe to design and build the world’s best vehicles. Members of this team include industry-leading developers, architects, and designers who use various innovative development methodologies and technologies to successfully deliver solutions, drive business results, and increase customer satisfaction.

This is a great mid-level developer opportunity. Development activities will include design and development of new applications as well as fixing production defects, updating existing software to work with newer versions of the core software and performing enhancements to existing tools.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Full lifecycle application development using standard frameworks and coding standards/patterns

  • Coding, unit testing and debugging applications in various software language

  • Strong Oracle Database skill

  • Software testing and quality assurance

  • Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation

  • Support, maintain and document software functionality

  • Integrate software with existing systems

  • Maintain standards compliance

  • Proactively engage in the remediation of software issues related to code quality, security, and/or pattern/frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience.

  • 5+ years of experience developing Java/J2EE/.NET and PL/SQLapplications.

  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).

  • Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL or combination experience.

  • Aptitude to get up to speed with new product architectures.

  • Experience with complex queries, performance tuning and query optimization
