ResponsibilitiesSweep & Balance, maintenance of RF levels in accordance with Grande Engineering specifications.Install and maintain analog and digital optical devices, splicing and maintenance of fiber optics, coaxial and copper cables. Perform and Maintain a stringent preventative maintenance program associated with OSP power supplies & electronics and optical nodes according to Grande engineering specifications.Emergency Fiber and Coaxial restoration as required to include performing miscellaneous construction make ready and/or projects.Perform quarterly Signal Leakage Rideouts and monitor assigned areas for signal leaks with an ongoing preventative maintenance program.24x7 support on an as needed basis to include an on-call shift rotation.Other duties as assigned.
RequirementsEducation: High School diploma or equivalent;Two Year technical degree (preferred).LICENSE: Fiber, copper and coax splicing certification desired.CERTIFICATIONS: Bucket truck certified or ability to be recertified.Understanding of Tele or Video Communications outside plant infrastructure.Fiber Optic, Copper, or Coaxial splicing, testing and maintenance.Must be highly proficient in at least one of the three splicing disciplines.CATV and/or Telephony background with 1 to 3 years building and maintaining communications networks.Comprehensive knowledge of typical digital, optical, analog test equipment, basic electronics, and personal computer efficiency.Valid drivers license required.Satisfactory driving record.
