Kaiser Permanente HR Services Consultant in Aurora, Colorado
Handles complex employee questions and requests by responding to incoming employee calls and processing requested changes within areas of specialty in several of the following human resources programs: Pay, benefits including retirement, leaves of absences, disability and worker's compensation and related human resources policies and procedures.
Essential Functions: - Responds to incoming employee calls and processes complex changes and other related transactions within areas of specialty in several human resources programs. - Retrieves, enters and processes employee related data utilizing Windows-based HR information systems. - Seeks to provide first call resolution by addressing complex issues at the point of contact. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. - Identifies, investigates and communicates service issues to appropriate parties to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner. - Modifies call interactions and transaction procedures as needed in collaboration with Quality Assurance, Training and Team Management. - Identifies and implements process improvement for customer services areas in collaboration with other HR Service Center Teams including Training, Quality Assurance and Team Management. - Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Experience - Minimum three (3) years of experience in a customer service or call center environment required. Education - High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. License, Certification, Registration - N/A
Additional Requirements: - General content knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Payroll, benefits, worker's compensation, leaves of absences, union guidelines and/or general HR knowledge required. - Ability to prioritize, problem-solve and apply critical thinking skills required. - Must be able to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment. - Attention to detail, accuracy and quality required. - Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees required. - Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with a customer service focus required. - Demonstrated ability to type at least 45 words or keystrokes per minute.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with PeopleSoft 8.8 preferred. - Bachelor's degree or some college level course-work preferred. - Proficiency in Lotus Notes or MS Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred. - Knowledge of Kaiser Permanente benefits and pay plans preferred.
