Lymphedema TherapistThe Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist functions as a member of the healthcare team. The purpose is to provide medically prescribed lymphedema therapy programs in the Rehab Health Centers in accordance with national standards and administrative policies of the hospital. The goal is to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, surgery, or loss of a body part in order to allow the patient to perform self-care and activities of daily living as independently as possible. The therapist will education patients about compression garments and wraps, and provide manual and therapeutic exercise for patients./ / / / Candidates that are Certified Lymphedema Therapists (CLT) or willing to gain lymphedema certification will be considered. EDUCATION REQUIRED: Education required for license as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist in the State of Georgia. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None. Acute care experience preferred. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, customer service, math, analysis, reading, following instruction, basic computer usage. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Licensed Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist in the State of Georgia. BLS. An EEO/AA Employer M/F/V/D. Tobacco Free Campus.
