HCA, Hospital Corporation of America LPN - Center for Occupational Health Monday-Friday 9:15 pm – 5:45 am in Augusta, Georgia
The LPN performs nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse for the Center for Occupational Health.
Provides nursing service and first aid to employees or persons who become ill or injured on premises of an industrial plant, or other establishment.
Takes patient's vital signs, treats wounds, evaluates physical condition of patient, and contacts physician and hospital to arrange for further medical treatment, when needed.
Highly involved with administrative duties such as maintaining record of persons treated, prepares accident reports, and insurance forms (FMLA.)
Assists RN to provide employee programs, such as health education, accident prevention, alcohol abuse counseling, curtailment of smoking, and weight control regimens.
May assist physician in physical examination of new employees.
Performs surveillance testing including audiograms, pulmonary function tests, respirator fit tests, EKGs, phlebotomy, vision/Titmus exams, drug screening, and Breath Alcohol Testing if certified and required at the worksite.
Graduate from an accredited school of Technical nursing with an LPN degree.
License/Certifications: Must hold a current LPN license from the Georgia Board of Nursing. A South Carolina nursing license will be required within one year of hire for the nurses that work in mobile services and serve customers in SC. BLS required upon hire.
2-5 years’ experience required in hospital setting or in Occupational Health, Employee Health or Community Health. Prior experience in Occupational Health preferred.
