Assurant Solvency & ERM Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia
The Solvency and ERM Analyst is required to oversee the development of the corporate ERM Solvency regulatory framework, to determine the required data and process needs and to ensure the firm is able to operate and provide evidence of compliance when required by the regulatory bodies with which Assurant is registered.
Key Responsibilities: * Ownership for the delivery of the ERM and Solvency requirements within Assurant. * Influence, shape and execute ERM and Solvency Processes and outputs. * Delivers positive engagement with stakeholders. * Manage risks, including identification, mitigation and controls within the business. * Builds on capability and talent opportunities for all staff. * Drives delivery through the engagement of people and cross functional teams * Engages employees by demonstrating company values and behaviors and ensuring key business messages are cascaded where relevant. * Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
Key Deliverables: * Continued development of the various Solvency frameworks and the regulatory risk management process. * Continuous compliance with regulatory frameworks and approval processes. * Development of reporting requirements internally and externally as required * Development of ERM outputs and governance materials to support such outputs. * Training materials for local teams based upon specific local requirements and processes.
Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor’s Degree * 5 years’ experience working in a regulated financial institution * 2 years working with Solvency 2 or on ORSA * 2 years in a risk management role
Preferred Qualifications: * An experienced professional who may have worked in a Risk, Audit, Actuarial, Finance or Operations environment with risk management experience. * A comprehensive understanding of the ERM or Solvency II requirements and frameworks. * Excellent stakeholder engagement. * Comprehensive knowledge of regulations pertaining to risk management. * An ability to present to and provide training for senior level stakeholders. * A capable and adaptable individual. * An absolute attention to detail and an organized and methodical approach to task management. * An ability to influence and provide input to strategic imperatives. * Ability to provide a pragmatic “right sized” solution to various differing solvency and ERM requirements as they are imposed by the local regulatory authorities.
