Federal Reserve Bank Marketing & Social Media Manager in Atlanta, Georgia

Position Summary:

Provides strategic direction on all of the Bank’s marketing and social media activities to engage and inform the public and key stakeholders on the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s purpose, functions, and policy decisions. Promotes content (both print and digital), events, websites and other products and programs to enhance the Bank’s reputation and drive awareness of public outreach efforts. Collaborates with Public Affairs directors and staff, including graphic design, editing, writing, and database management, to direct marketing and social media output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs strategic marketing and social media planning for all external projects and initiatives within the organization. Manages the marketing planning process each year to ensure all external projects and events align with the strategy and objectives for the department and organization.
  • Manages and implements marketing programs for various types of content to reach a range of target audiences while working with department leadership to ensure an integrated communications strategy. Directs work of colleagues who create content and provide collateral materials for marketing efforts.
  • Provides leadership on social media efforts, ensuring that the Bank’s voice is consistent and appropriate. Counsels Bank business lines on social media strategy, including appropriate platforms and approved protocols. Manages social media campaigns for all external projects and initiatives within the organization.
  • Writes creative briefs for new projects and events to ensure that all project contributors are aware of the scope of the project and that new projects align with the overall marketing and communications strategy for the Bank.
  • Works with the Media and Marketing Strategist to provide general media support, using programs to track media coverage on an ongoing basis and support both proactive and reactive media follow through. Oversees department traffic tool and process, to ensure projects are being managed within the traffic management application system. Provides guidance to traffic administrator and serves as back-up.
  • In conjunction with the web team, analyzes marketing and social media activities and reports on marketing and social media outcomes, adjusting plans as needed to hit targets. Manages the marketing budget for the Bank’s business lines.
  • Consults on employee engagement strategy for social media (including senior leadership) and assists with policy and strategy development. Represents the Bank at industry-related events and conferences, ensuring the Bank is presented as a knowledge leader to its target audiences.

    Education:Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent experience

    Experience: Five to eight years
