Service Area Overview: You don’t have to be in direct patient care to work at Northside. The Patient Access Department allows you to work in a business setting, while still being part of an organization that really does care for people. We provide patient information and registration for services at each of the Northside Hospital facilities. This team of courteous and caring individuals anticipate and respond promptly to questions and concerns surrounding patient registration activities.
Position Description: Represents the Hospital in financial matters pertaining to obtaining payment on patient accounts during pre-admission and inpatient phases of the patient's visit.Acts as intermediary with Admitting, Business Office, patients and family members while the patient is hospitalized.
Position Requirements: Required:1.A.ONE (1) YEAR EXPERIENCE IN COLLECTION, OR B.ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE IN BUSINESS.DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY.GOOD COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS.MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM BASIC MATHEMATICAL CALCULATIONS.Work ScheduleThis is a resource position that will work as needed and it will not offer benefits.Preferred:B.S. DEGREE IN BUSINESS.TWO (2) YEARS EXPERIENCE IN COLLECTION.CPAR CERTIFICATION CFC Certification
