Thomson Reuters Tax Accounting is seeking a Director, Software Development in our Ann Arbor, Michigan location. In this leadership role you will develop, implement, and drive the technology and strategy for multiple development teams. You will lead your teams through collaboration with the appropriate internal groups to include Support, Sales, Training, and Marketing. Additionally, you will be responsible for the tool set used to build these U.S. (CS Professional Suite) and global (Onvio and OnBalance) applications. Key Strategic Responsibilities: liTimely release, maintenance, and responsiveness of CS Professional Suite products./li liDevelop a product migration strategy from the existing CS Professional Suite products to Onvio that includes harmonizing duplicate data sources./li liEvaluate the product functionality in existing global professional products, as well as certain potential acquisitions, for eventual convergence into Onvio./li liGenerate ideas for new Onvio/OnBalance products and evaluate suitability from both technical and market perspectives./li liDevelop comprehensive product definitions, concept proposals, and business cases that result in marketable products and services./li liDrive results to include meeting global timeline deliverables, facilitate reuse and global platform architecture, and effective global and local collaboration/li liApplication and data security to include satisfying agency requirements, preventing fraud, protecting our customer’s data, and reporting activities to key stakeholders/li /ul Thomson Reuters provides professionals with the intelligence, technology and human expertise they need to find trusted answers. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: liBachelor degree required/li /ul liProven track record of developing successful software products/li /ul liExtensive experience working in software industry, including managing teams and leading large groups; minimum 7-10 years of management experience./li /ul liAbility to facilitate and present formal presentations at the executive level and demonstrated executive presence./li /ul liStrong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills for liaison with external customers and internal staff at all levels./li /ul liHighly motivated with ability to drive results./li /ul liExtensive progressive experience working in software industry, including managing teams and leading large groups./li /ul liA self-motivated individual who is able to take ownership of and work concurrently on multiple initiatives./li /ul liStrong critical thinking and analytical skills./li /ul liAble to work with mu
