Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Step-Down: Become part of a small 6 bed unit that monitors the overflow of patients from the ICU. The Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Step-Down oversees and directs the care of the critically ill patients. The Critical Care RN is responsible for the care of stabilized open-heart surgery patients, patients with multisystem organ failure, patients requiring kidney and pancreas transplants, and other patients meeting ICU admissions criteria. The RN will serve as the primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Oversees and directs the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients.
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required) (BSN preferred)
Alaska RN License in this state (required)
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
- One-year experience in acute care (preferred)
