Dish Technologies and Sling TV are seeking a QA engineer to join our American Fork, Utah - based team. This is an exciting position in a fast moving, versatile project which requires the ability of candidates to adapt to breaking technologies. Primary responsibilities include:
Ensure complete software requirements and product functionality are obtained and associated documentation as well as other sources to drive product testability and meet quality expectations
Lead cross-functional group activities in the development of test requirements, test cases, and test methods; and provide support to testing resources
Propose risk-based testing approaches to meet frequently changing test priorities
Conduct peer reviews of test requirements and test cases to ensure compliance with standards, event sequencing, and requirements and test coverage
Evaluate and properly disposition test documentation change requestsEvaluate, improve, and institutionalize improvements to Software Test Engineering processes, work products, and results
Review test results provided by testing resources for validity and accuracy of disposition of findingsParticipate in root cause analysis activities for the identification and implementation of corrective and preventive action plans
The successful Test Engineer will have:
Bachelors degree and 6 months of related experience or Master’s degree, preferably in computer science, computer engineering or other technical (STEM) field or equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 6 months of Software Test Engineering experience
At least 6 months of experience with some or all phases of testing: Functional, Regression, and Integration
At least 6 months of experience writing test plans, test scenarios, test cases, execution of test case and documentation and interpretation of test results
At least 6 months experience with testing on any of the following areas: Web (HTML), iOS, Android, Roku, Xbox, Desktop Applications, or web services (API)
At least 6 months of development experience in log diving and analysis
At least 1 years of experience with defining the testing strategy for large scale programs and ensuring requirements traceability throughout the system development lifecycle.
