Position Description

McKesson Corporation is seeking a director of Systems Development to embark in a payroll transformation initiative. This position will be responsible for implementing the Workday solution at a multi country level. The project will be a multi year initiative involving key stakeholders throughout a global operation.

The qualified candidates will have a solid understanding of corporate payroll functions and experience delivering cutting edge solutions to large scale enterprise operations.

The Director of Systems Development within the Corporate Payroll organization will report directly to the Vice President of Global Payroll. The position has the following key responsibilities:

  • Successful implementation of Workday throughout North America. This position has responsibility and oversight for the successful implementation of the Payroll function within the Workday system for all functionality throughout North America. Success deliverables defined as properly setting up the payroll function within Workday, being on time and within budget.

  • Managing a dedicated team for Workday implementation. There will be a small team (5-7 people) dedicated to the Payroll implementation of Workday. This position will have full managerial responsibility to insure that the team reaches its objectives for a successful implementation.

  • Collaborating with and utilizing 3rd party vendors to reach implementation objectives. These vendors include Aon Hewitt, the Workday implementation vendor, as well as other 3rd parties who may be utilized such as individual contractors.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements

  • 5 years leadership experience in systems deployment and business transformation

  • 1+ years experience with Workday payroll solution

  • Excellent collaboration and partnering skills to manage multi-BU implementation effort

  • Strategic vision and broad leadership capabilities

  • Ability to successfully translate strategic objectives to operational actions

  • Multi tasking capabilities

  • Effectively manage and develop a special projects team

  • Lead successful large company implementation of Payroll function on Workday

  • 5 years experience in solution design and deployment

  • Experience in multi country software deployments

  • 3-5 years of project management experience

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Business

  • Masters Degree preferred
