Meijer 3rd Shift Stocking Team Leader - Alpena MI in Alpena, Michigan

Currently, Meijer is looking for a 3rd Shift Grocery Stocking Team Leader. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for supervision of overnight stocking team operations in the store. Implementing strategies to improve customer service, driving store sales, and increasing profitability. Ensuring customer needs are met, complaints are resolved and service is quick and efficient. Maintaining store appearance, product presentation and company standards. Key responsibilities include:Supporting achieving sales, shrink and labor plans for the departmentReviewing sales goals, supply costs, stock loss/shrink results and goalsDelivering on Brand Promises through team execution; i.e., "Provide an easy shopping experience for our customers"Modeling exceptional, fast and friendly customer serviceReviewing Customer Survey and customer feedback from previous day or weekCommunicating the Meijer Friendly Initiative in all team meetings and conversationsReviewing daily inbound product flow in Grocery KeysScheduling team members according to Activity Based Labor (ABL) earned hoursMaintaining proper staffing levels on production shiftTraining all team members to execute all activities to required production levels and ensuring that all required training has been completedSupervising Stocking Team to:Maintain back room organization in Grocery AreasMaintain 100% ad in stock throughout the Grocery AreasEnsure product rotation process meets corporate guidelinesInterfacing with Store Leadership regarding inventory discrepancy and product flow issuesMaintaining team member performance reporting in the Grocery production processMonitoring team member work practices and providing corrective action where necessaryIdentifying business issues that impede labor control, profitability, customer service and in-stock position and taking the appropriate corrective action through communication and/or process improvement recommendationsCross-training team members to allow flexibility in scheduling and assurance that required tasks are completed dailyPromoting a safe work environmentMaintaining high sanitation levels throughout sales floor and backroomPromoting succession planning by providing career paths and identifying development needs for the teamReviewing daily schedules to work loadMaking appropriate adjustments to daily staffing levels based on work loadCoordinating/creating/building daily work assignments for stocking teamReliable and consistent attendance is requiredOther daily tasks as required

Qualifications:High school diploma or its equivalent requiredMinimum 2-3 years of related retail experienceMinimum 1 year of management experienceDemonstrated ability to communicate to team members in the organization in a way that provides clear and precise directionDemonstrated ability to resolve conflict and by addressing root cause issuesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasksDemonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisionsDemonstrated ability to teach suggestive sellingDemonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all timesDemonstrated ability to mentor team members in all areas of the organization including SDITs, team members in hourly positions and team leadersSuccessful completion of all required curriculums
