Golden Living Director of Business Development in Allentown, Pennsylvania

As a Business Development Dir at AseraCare Hospice you understand the passion to care. You’ll partner with a professional team to ensure that the needs and wishes of the entire family are met. This role will have oversight of both our Allentown and Exton, PA locations.

Responsible for the design and execution of the business development plan which includes conducting market analysis, generating qualified leads and making sales calls to achieve the sales plan targets. Lead sales strategies and initiatives that promote the agency/center’s services, clinical expertise and programs. Coordinates external events that position the agency/center as the provider of choice in the market.

  • Gather and analyze local market data to determine community needs and identify qualified leads

  • Develop and execute the Agency/LivingCenter’s business development plan.

  • Conduct business development calls/visits to include, but not limited to, health care providers, Physicians, senior organizations, appropriate special interest groups, and other community contacts with potential to be a future referral source.

  • Develop and maintain community relationships Leverage sales software to track and report on business development activities

  • Organize and host special events and presentations targeted at community education, establishing and maintaining relationships

  • Presents program offerings that support the needs of existing and prospective customers to enhance business development

  • Supervise and lead local sales staff


  • Clinical, healthcare, or related industry experience

  • Bachelors degree preferred

  • Minimum two (2) years experience in outside sales, business development, marketing or related experience

  • Prior sales leadership/supervision experience preferred

  • Experience in healthcare related lead generation preferred

  • Experience in post acute or acute organization preferred

  • Clinical or Healthcare leadership or supervisory experience background preferred

  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery system including levels of care and reimbursement models is preferred

  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information

  • Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with other employees at all levels

  • Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job

  • Knowledge and experience with Managed Care, Medicare, state specific Medicaid regulations and electronic referral management

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with changing priorities

  • Ability to work without management oversight

  • Experience with Microsoft office and aptitude to learn company specific systems

  • Effective oral communication skills

  • Understanding and working knowledge of services and programs offered to support community needs
